The Edmonton COVID19 Rapid Response Collaborative (ECRRC) consists of 13 agencies that have been responding to social and economic crisis triggered by COVID-19 pandemic. With financial support from the Province of Alberta, and the in kind assistance of the Government of Canada and the City of Edmonton, the collaboration aims to effectively contribute to flattening the curve by leveraging efforts of the various agencies involved. ECRRC will provide timely, dignified and culturally safe supports and information for Edmontonians who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.

ECRRC believes that a strong community is created through building collaborative working relationships and creating new models to leverage each agency’s strengths and capacities to better serve the communities in which they are rooted. The communities served by the 13 organizations include Indigenous Peoples, immigrants, those living with disability and other vulnerable communities in Edmonton. ECRRC welcomes all Edmontonians in need of support to heal in dignified and caring ways to contact our (toll free) multilingual emergency response centre at 1-833-738-7727. Starting March 1, 2021, outreach workers will provide support in 30+ languages from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Callers will receive relevant information and be connected to needed services and supports including food, assistance with applications for income support, health and wellness, and cultural connections. In response to the ongoing pandemic, the new Edmonton COVID -19 Rapid Response Collaborative (ECRRC) has created a rapid response Indigenous Peoples, immigrants, those living with disability and other vulnerable communities help with ongoing COVID-19 related needs. Outreach workers provide support in 30+ languages with referrals to more than 12 agencies.

Support for this initiative comes from the City of Edmonton, Province of Alberta and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

OUR ORGANIZATION is pleased to announce our participation in the Edmonton COVID -19 Rapid Response Collaborative (ECRRC). ECRRC believes a strong community is created through building relationships. As a group, we hope to welcome everyone in Edmonton and support them through our group’s collective free services. The collaborative created a unique community model for inclusion of all individuals from various populations groups including Indigenous, newcomers and refugees, people with disability ethno-cultural and other vulnerable communities in Edmonton to benefit with dignity and respect. This project is supported by multiple community based organizations, social service agencies, the Government of Alberta, the City of Edmonton and in kind support from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
