Traditional Teachings & Reconnection

Creating Hope Society invites you to a journey of healing and literacy. This program focuses on building core literacy skills through the lens of Indigenous history, providing a safe space for survivors and community members to reconnect with their heritage and kinship.

Program Philosophy

The “Learning Our Indigenous History” program integrates intergenerational literacy with cultural discovery, providing a supportive space for families to grow together in Edmonton.

Empowerment & Sharing

Empowering Indigenous people to share personal histories while deepening cultural understanding. We provide tools to collect, record, and honor unique family stories.

Intergenerational Literacy

Instruction for both parents and children. We focus on basic adult literacy, shared learning experiences, and supportive education groups.

Holistic Development

Designed for social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Enhance reading, writing, and vocabulary through validated cultural experiences.

VIRTUAL DELIVERY

10-Week Virtual Workshops

Program cycles include two 10-week workshops, accommodating 20 learners each, accessible from anywhere via our interactive virtual classroom.
